Tournament Rules
  • GAME TIME

    Games will be two (2) twenty-minute halves, running clock. The clock will stop in the last one minute of first half, and the last two minutes of second half. Warm up is 5 minutes, with the halftime warm up as 3 minutes.

  • Timeouts

    Two (2) full and two (2) 30 second timeouts per game.

  • Overtime

    Overtime will be two (2) minutes with one (1) full time out. No timeouts will carry over from regulation. Clock will stop on all whistles. The second overtime becomes sudden death.

  • Bonus

    One and one on the seventh team foul. Two shots on the tenth for each half.

  • Ball Size

    Girl’s - 28.5         Boy’s - 29.5

  • Scorebook

    Coaches must enter names and numbers into the official book. Coaches (team) must supply clock and score-book operators per game (one from each team).

  • Protests

    Can not be made on referee judgment calls.

  • Sportsmanship

    Can not be made on referee judgment calls.

  • Technical Fouls

    If player receives two (2) technical fouls they will be removed from the current game. If the same player is removed from a second game they will be dismissed from tournament.

     

    If a coach receives one technical foul, they lose coaching box (sit down). If the same coach receives two (2) technical fouls they will be removed from the game (out of gym). To coach the next game, that coach must pay a$50.00 fine. If the coach is removed from a second game they will be dismissed from tournament.

     

    Fans will receive a warning for their first offense and technical foul on the second offense. Fans will forfeit their team's game on the third offense.

  • Coaches

    Two (2) coaches/adults are allowed on bench and in the bench area. Only one coach is allowed to be standing and coaching during game (high school rule).

  • Jerseys

    Teams must have legal jerseys with a number on the back (00-99).

  • Grade determining date

    Grade as January 6, 2016

  • proof of grade

    Coaches will be responsible to prove grade if a protest is filed.

  • roster size limit

    12 Players Per Team and players can only play on one team in the same division.

     

    High School Division 2 JV players can move up and help Varsity team from same school if team has less than 6 players.

     

    Varsity players cannot move down to help JV team.

     

    Rosters must be completed and turned in by end of first game played. (Coach Salata makes all final decisions on any rule/ruling).

    Head to head competition:

    • If a three way ties exists, the common games between the three teams tied.
    • If a tie still exists, a point differential of points up to 10 points + or – to break the tie.
    • If a tie still exists, a two way or three way coin flip (odd man wins).
    • In four team pool, mini-tourney teams win first game play 1st-2nd, losers play 3rd- 4th.

    1st place - All players get a Champion T-Shirt

    Thursday - Sunday: $5.00 Adults and $3.00 Seniors/Students (Kids under six (6) are free)
